eCOGRA Casinos
Casinos approved by eCOGRA
eCOGRA (eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulator and Assurance) is a UK based company that was set up by Microgaming and 888.com in 2002.
After online gaming burst onto the scene in the late 1990’s, they were sickened by the amount of unfair online gambling sites that just wanted to make money quick by ripping players off. They not only thought this was extremely unfair to the public, but were worried it would also destroy the online gaming sites that were fair and reputable. This led to the creation of the international non-profit body eCOGRA.
eCOGRA works by supplying their approved casino sites with an ‘eCOGRA Seal of Approval’. Casinos can only receive a seal if they; allow their site to be audited yearly, comply with their international framework of generally accepted practices, and have proved that they have a high level of integrity towards fair and safe gaming. eCOGRA can also help players when they have any disputes with online gaming sites.
The list of casinos you see below are all certified by eCOGRA such as 32red Casino and Crazy Vegas. See the full list of approved seal holders here.
Dispute Resolution Service
In March 2015, eCOGRA reached a huge milestone when it ended up becoming an authorized dispute arbitrator for UK licensed casinos through both the UK Gambling Commission. The service will allow eCOGRA to work on behalf of players who feel that they may have an issue with a casino related to payment, deposits, bonuses, or game errors, allowing players a real voice when it comes to working out issues. In the past, eCOGRA has built a name for itself by auditing casino software for both security and fairness.
Commenting on the accreditation eCOGRA CEO Andrew Beveridge said, "eCOGRA has developed a sophisticated software system to help manage and expedite the resolution of disputes with UKGC-licensed operators, and this, harnessed with the eCOGRA ADR team's considerable experience in online gambling mediation, will help resolve most disputes within 72 hours.”
The service is free to use by players, and pertains to any site currently licensed in the UK. Players who wish to take advantage of the program by filling out a dispute form, which can be found here.
